After School for Grades ECD-6
The heart of our after-school program for Grades ECD-5 involves AfterCare and Mini Courses, which are fee-based and generally run Monday through Friday, from September to June (except during school vacations). AfterCare is available from school dismissal until 6 pm; Mini Courses typically run from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm.
The AfterCare Program
The Kew-Forest School’s AfterCare Program was developed to meet the needs of families who require child care after the school day is over. Our AfterCare Program provides a safe, secure, and enriching environment in which children can grow socially, physically, emotionally, and academically.
Mini Courses
Mini courses are special courses that meet once or twice a week and introduce young children to a variety of activities that help build confidence and skills. Offerings typically include activities such as Chess, Lego Robotics, Cooking, Soccer, or Acting. For a complete list of current Mini Courses, download the After School Information Packet to the right.
AfterCare & Mini Course Registration
Children may attend AfterCare on a full- or part-time basis; each Mini Course runs for approximately one trimester. Information and registration materials are sent to K-F families in the fall and right before sessions start, or you may download them from the Downloads section located on the right-hand side of this page. If you need additional information, please contact our Director of Auxiliary Programs, Ms. Jennifer Woerner at 718-268-4667 ext. 108 or jwoerner@kewforest.org.
