In honor of Black History Month, PS/PK learned about the artist Faith Ringgold, who is best known for her narrative quilts. She is celebrated for her work as an artist, educator, and social activist, and as a storyteller.

This quilt represents how we are all unique and, at the same time, we have equal responsibility to contribute to our community and promote its strength (each part of the quilt is different but the same size).

This quilt is also a visual reminder of the importance  of community and togetherness  - we are all connected, supporting each other for the greater good.
