This is the first of four admission events we will be hosting at Kew-Forest this fall. As our best "word-of-mouth"promoters, if you know of anyone who is looking for a new school, please forward this email and invite them to attend.
Attendees can expect a greeting from the Interim Head of School and presentation by the Division Head focusing on curriculum.
For more information and to REGISTER, please visit here. If you have additional questions, our Director of Admission & Tuition Assistance, Soraya Díaz Tamayo, can be reached at admission@kewforest.org or (718) 551-3125.
We look forward to meeting prospective students and their families - your relatives, friends, and colleagues - in the days and weeks ahead! Thank you for your support.
Parent-teacher conferences over the past 2+ years were hosted virtually and saw a notable increase in parent participation. Now that visitors are allowed back on campus, please let us know if you prefer the conferences to be virtual or in-person. Your preferences, faculty preferences, and logistical factors will be considered before a decision is made.
About one week after Picture Day, parents/guardians will receive an e-mail from Cool for School Photo with a direct link to their child's private online photo gallery. You may purchase photo packages, individual prints, framed products, gift items, or digital files.
Each student will receive a complimentary 5x7 print of their class photo later in the school year.
Make-ups and retakes for school photos will take place on Thurs 10 Nov.

In years past at Kew-Forest, students were able to celebrate Halloween by wearing costumes to school. However, this practice can prove to be exclusionary for those families who don’t recognize this holiday and for children not able to participate. This year, in the spirit of inclusion, students have several options for dress.
Students may:
wear costumes (see guidelines below)
dress down
wear pajamas
dress as a favorite book character
wear the school uniform
All attire must be appropriate for Preschool to Grade 12.
Please dress respectfully and keep the following expectations in mind:
Nothing too scary (please remember, we are a PS/PK - 12 School!), and please, no masks;
Nothing that can be construed as demeaning to any person or group based on age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, nationality, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or to any individual staff or student at the school. Please remember, cultures aren’t costumes;
Nothing that contains discriminatory, profane, vulgar, sexually suggestive, obscene, threatening, or libelous language;
No weapons, whether physical, fake, implied, or represented in imagery;
Nothing that advertises/promotes consumption of alcohol, tobacco, drugs/drug paraphernalia;
Does not disrupt or distract the school program as determined by any teacher or administrator.
Please reach out to your Division Head if unsure about appropriateness of dress.
