Mr. Polk joined The Kew-Forest School in 2021 with an extensive background in college admissions, most recently having served on the admissions committee at New York University (NYU). He has devoted much of his career to working with international students and their families to navigate the competitive college admissions process. A frequent invitee to professional panels and conferences, Mr. Polk has presented at various global events, including the Council of International Schools East Asia Regional Council in Bangkok, Thailand. He has served on various educational committees and was an elected member of the Board of Trustees for Study New York, Inc. Mr. Polk holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago, a Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles), and a Professional Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from NYU.
He brings to Kew-Forest a passion for serving and guiding all students and their families towards success. Mr. Polk is dedicated to ensuring that each student finds the best college fit, and that Kew-Forest's college counseling model is one that is individualized, accessible, and effective for all.
