Instructions for Joining
To be admitted to the assembly, please rename yourself using the following convention: First Name, Last name, Constituency (i.e. Student '22, Parent '20, '25, Alum '15, Trustee, Faculty, Staff, etc.)
This agenda-less gathering is an opportunity for families to share feedback and ask questions in a group setting with the Interim Head of School. Zoom meeting instructions will be sent to all parents the day before the gathering. No RSVP required.
After School Care provides a service for children needing care after normal school hours. Children are supervised at all times by the Directors and various assistants who make students’ individual needs a priority.
After School Care begins Mon 19 Sept. Timings: Dismissal to 4:30 pm (part-time) or Dismissal to 6:00 pm (full-time).

The Middle & Upper School trip to the park has been postponed. Please stay tuned for details. Friday, September 16 will now be a normal school day, with Middle School students in-person and Upper School students remote.
The Kew-Forest School will host a booth at the Forest Hills Fall Festival on Austin Street today from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The fair is sponsored by the Forest Hills Chamber of Commerce.
Booth location: Spot #35 on Austin Street between 72nd Road and 72nd Avenue. Our both is usually across the street from 5 Burro Cafe (72-05 Austin Street).
Senior administration, parents, and students will be present throughout the day.

Upper School students can pick up their textbooks from the Gym between 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm today. Students should enter and exit from the Main Entrance on Union Turnpike.
Blackbaud, the service that manages The Kew-Forest School website (www.kewforest.org), is updating log in methods for constitents to make the system more convenient and secure from outside intrusion.
In order for community members to keep accessing the school website uninterrupted EVERYONE WILL NEED TO MIGRATE TO THE NEW SYSTEM before Tues 27 Sept 2022.

Please note: Moving forward once you have made the migration, your user name will be your full email address. As an example, if your OLD user name was simply your name “JohnMcLear”, your NEW user name is now the email address you used during activation: “jmclear@kewforest.org”

Mini-Courses are short classes that run after school.
Courses for Fall 2022 include Minecraft Code: Harry Potter, Lego Robotics, and Chess. Fees vary from course to course.
Mini-Courses require a minimum number of registrants to run. It might be necessary to cancel a course if numbers are not met. Enrollment fees will be refunded in the event of a cancellation.
