The Kew-Forest Library merges traditional library resources with digital information. The ECD-12 curriculum serves as the basis and launch pad for the program, which strives to meet the printed and technological needs of our 21st century students by offering online instructional methodologies and a diversified base of learning and teaching resources. Among the technology options frequently integrated into our curriculum at various grade levels are: PowerPoint presentations, web page designs, video streaming on-demand, text document creation, visual communicator, WebQuests, on-line forums, video conferencing, school blogging, and more.
Our two Library Centers (one for each Division) serve as the dual-community “commons,” where students, faculty, and staff can engage in curriculum-integrated tasks, access digital information and resources, and enjoy a warm environment for reading print materials (there are over 8,000 books and 44 periodical subscriptions available), to do research or homework. In addition, students and staff members can check out an Apple iPad or MacBook computer or one of the new HP notebook computers in our Upper School Library.
