A Personalized Experience
Just as every lock requires a unique key, every child is different and deserves to be understood deeply. With an average class size of 8 and a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio, our students receive personalized attention and consistently have their voices heard. Our teachers - 75% of whom teach both Middle and Upper School classes - are deeply attuned to each student’s academic, social, and emotional needs. This allows them to build strong relationships, provide support at every stage, and craft meaningful letters of recommendation. Additionally, personalized college counseling begins in Grade 9, ensuring that by senior year, students have a thorough understanding of the college process and choose schools that align with their personalities, passions, and future goals.
Developing social-emotional skills & leadership opportunities
Learning at Kew-Forest extends well beyond the classroom. To support social and emotional wellbeing, we implement the Yale RULER Program, where students collaborate with peers and advisors to develop essential interpersonal skills. Additionally, students have numerous opportunities to grow as leaders. With our small student population, there are multiple avenues for students to step into leadership roles and explore new passions. Students can join clubs like Model United Nations, Drama, Student Council, and the Science Research Club or participate in athletic teams such as basketball, soccer, and tennis.
Unlock your journey of
lifelong learning
Through these diverse opportunities, Kew-Forest students grow into critical thinkers, confident communicators, and empathetic individuals, ready to lead and serve. Our success is evident not only in our 100% college matriculation rate and the prestigious universities our students attend - such as University of Pennsylvania, New York University, Cornell University, and Johns Hopkins University - but also in the capable and compassionate adults they become. Beyond college, they go on to make meaning contributions to their communities and the world.
