First Grade Students in the Lower School Celebrate Black History Month!

In honor of Black History Month, 1st Grade students in the Lower School learned about black heroes who impacted history. They learned about the achievements of many African Americans, some of whom were the 'first' in their accomplishments and others worthy of recognition. ⁣

During Black History Month, the students were reminded to be fearless, courageous goal-setters and above all, to love, respect, and be kind to themselves, their peers, and the world.⁣

While listening to stories about different African American heroes, they were excited to learn about these figures and wrote essays based on their inspiration. The students worked hard on this project and are, as they should be, proud of their results!  Great job! ⁣

A big thank you to Ms. Agbato and Ms. Coraci. ⁣
